My thought on closing down the loops is that we remove members once they are on the forums. Otherwise, they will stay on the loops. The loops don’t have to be closed but going back to them easily presents problems of it’s own. We can certainly do it any way you like. My 60 day forecast was based on doing each of the Yahoo Loops one after the other so all the members can be migrated sort of at the same time for each group giving Marie and I time to fix any log ins along the way. We have to let them exist for at least three years so that we have all that data in the event something happens since we can’t really archive them. However, they don’t need to exist with members besides the administrators.
Yeah, see I think as long as it’s an option, people will always gravitate toward the familiar. So, I definitely want to see the board completely on the website before Thanksgiving and the Yahoo board loop on a no-post admin-only setting.
We should start moving the rest of the membership soon. We’ll need to post constant reminders to the main loop as we do this.
