Secretary Report, November 2018
The November, 2018, board meeting was called to order by President CP Rider on Nov. 7, 2018 at 8:34 pm.
Shirley Tudhope made a motion to approve the Secretary’s report. Ana Morgan seconded the motion.
Shirley also motioned to approve the Treasurer’s report and was seconded by LeAnne Bristow.
President Rider pointed out the workshop committee’s report and asked who is responsible for advertising workshops in the RWR. Jill James responded that the responsibility fell on the VP of Communications and that things needed to be submitted at least 3 months in advance.
Next President Rider asked for an update on webinars for 2019. LeAnne will check with Christine Grissom and give an update for the December meeting.
The website committee report was next and President Rider opened up the discussion about when to dissolve the yahoo group. Merien suggested removing members from the yahoo group as they are added to the forums. The board agreed. The yahoo loops cannot be closed for 3 years, but will have a no-posting, admin membership only setting.
The next item to be discussed is the updating of the website logo. Several different websites were suggested that specialize in logo design. Ana Morgan suggested asking members how they feel about updating the logo and Shirley Tudhope asked for clarification on what updates we were looking for on the logo.
President Rider announced that LeAnne Bristow agreed to run the 2019 PFTH contest. A committee has been formed to work on overhauling the contest. Several suggestions were made for the contest. President Rider also gave a shoutout to Shannon Gallagher for all the social media promotions she did for the contest.
President Rider asked that each board member keep a written record of the tasks performed and write up a procedure guide for their position. This will help future board members.
Next, President Rider suggested opening a special election meeting on the main loop. The board agreed and a poll for elections was posted to the main loop for voting.
The board got an update from Merien Grey regarding the pendants for the 20<sup>th</sup> anniversary celebration. Most of the supplies are in and the final design will be voted on soon.
President Rider announced that the winner of the 2018 Cyber Rose Award is Merien Grey.
The special election held on the main chapter forum was concluded with 24 votes affirming the candidates and 2 no. The 2019 FTHRW Board members will be:
