Fell a little short of my 12K goal, but I’m happy. I wrote 10, 410 words last week and finished my first round edits on my second book. I was without my laptop over the weekend and Monday, so I figure I did pretty good.
Book 2 needs another rewrite, but it’s with my first reader now. I wrote it during that few weeks this summer when I lost three friends and my grandmother and you could tell I was in a low place. Does anyone else ever experience this? Like you look at a passage and know exactly what you were feeling when you wrote it?
For this week, though, I’m wholly focused on Book 3. My goal is 20,000 words. (I like to aim high. It’s that gamification side of me, I tell you…)
