Okay, in tracking my time, I see that I’m spending 3 to 4 hours a day on writing, including writing my WIP, editing and revising my historical romance, submitting queries to agents and publishers for my completed contemporary women’s fiction and on various workshops. I intersperse that with other things that need to be done, like eating, going shopping. The rest of the time, I’m either on Facebook, reading or it’s night time and I’m sleeping.
I write in chunks (after I was already doing this, I found out that it’s “The Chunky Method” but I was doing this before I found out it had a name). I find that I can only write, revise, edit or rewritt for so long and then I reach a saturation point where I’m no longer effective. Then I take a break and do something else.
