My name is Jeanne and I live in Honolulu, Hawaii. I moved here from Los Angeles in April of 1979. Hard to believe that 41 years have gone by. I write contemporary and historical romance and women’s fiction. None of my novels have been published yet, but Women’s World Magazine published one of the short romances I submitted to them last April. I bought 10 copies when the edition my story was in came out on the stands.
Like Laura, I went through a horse stage in grade school. I must have read every Marguerite Henry Book in existence.
Since I my historical novels are set in the American West, I think it’s a good idea that I know something about horses. I’ve read some historical romances in which the authors have stallions pulling carriages, buggies and buckboards. I was under the impression that stallions are not used for this type of thing. Could be wrong, but I’d like to find out. I would think that geldings would be preferable as draft animals.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to this class.
