Mona, I’ve been thinking about you. I’m sorry about your sister. I had a very good friend who shared what going through radiation was like for her and it was similar. It’s just plain awful. Sending good thoughts and prayers her way.
And your husband. My gosh, you’ve all been through it this past couple of months. I hope the doctors figure out what’s wrong with his back. I also hope that you’re getting enough rest as his main caregiver. That’s a tough role and so often is underappreciated.
Glad to hear you’re writing. Do what you can and let the rest fall away. Be kind to yourself, my friend.❤️
I managed to get a bit of writing done during my hiatus, but my brain went on strike so I had to set my WIP aside until I can concentrate on it again.
Life update – My sister has had her 2nd round of chemo and radiation, but she’s lost more weight and says she feel like her insides are on fire. She prefers to stay in bed, which I completely understand.
On the flip side, hubs has damaged a nerve in his back and is in such terrible pain he can’t stand up straight and can barely walk. He’s resorted to using a wheelchair. I took him to the doctor, and they’re trying to schedule an MRI to see what’s going on. He had 2 back surgeries in 2007 where they removed sections of 9 vertebrae because they were crushing his spinal cord (a hereditary condition), and four of them are where this current problem stem from. *sigh*
I’d say I give up, but I can’t quit now.
Happy writing, everyone.
