I’m going to work on listening to myself.
I’ve noticed that the busier I get, the less comfortable I am with pure quiet. I’m not a huge TV watcher, but I always have music or my favorite ambience YouTube videos (yes, that’s the way they spell it😉) or podcasts playing in the background.
Today, I’m going to focus on being silent for short periods of time and listening. Meditation doesn’t work as well for me because my particular type of anxiety manifests in running thoughts, but if I can write through the quiet, I think that might help.
