My character hides behind formal language when she’s nervous. I found the patterning my first two chapters and am wondering if it is something I want to keep or edit out. 🙂 Her career choice of an auction house owner fits her childhood memories of flea markets and shopping with her godmother, always looking for treasures. It also fits her childhood trauma of wanting to have extra stuff to create a feeling of security.
My book choice is Verity by Colleen Hoover.
