Hi! I’m a new participant in this forum. I have revised my current book within an inch of its life — it’s my first book, and I’ve learned to write fiction on it, so it’s taken about 3 years to get it to the point of being what I think of as query-ready. Each revision has taught me more, but I need to accept that I need to actually query it if I don’t want to continue revising it on my deathbed. (Which I don’t.)
So I have written on the calendar that I need to finish the final draft by June 2 and send my first batch of query letters June 7.
Toward that end, my goal is to revise at least 6 chapters plus the opening (again) over the rest of this week. Also, research agents for at least 3 hours on Query Tracker.
