Hi guys,

I subscribed to receive emails from the forum, but I don’t know how much good that will do me. I’ve yet to receive one email from any of the forums I’m subscribed to on here. 🙁

Here are my thoughts on the contest.

1. Get rid of the published/unpublished divisions. That will reduce the number of  final judges needed, category coordinators needed, ect. I think at one time the two divisions were great, but as far as I know, this is the only contest that does that. Some contests are open only to unpublished authors. Some are open to both but specify that the manuscript entered must be unpublished and uncontracted.

2. Definitely lower the amount of pages/words per entry.

3. I’m not real thrilled about the idea of changing it to a book cover contest. For one, it will exclude anyone who is traditionally published as well as non-published authors.

4. Maybe offer free editing or something like that for the winner. Something to make them want to win.
