I did the exercise on a couple pages of the chapter my CPs didn’t critique yet. I cut about 4%. I’ll see if they suggest more cuts, but usually they complain I’m stingy with settings description and I end up adding.
What works for me, though, is to give the done pages a few weeks to sit. When I come back to them, it’s easier to see which parts don’t belong. Also, the highlighting technique you gave me makes wonders. Thank you, Peter.
