Well, here we are, WEEK 51 of 2021 ALREADY!
I’ve averaged about 3 hours per day this past week, but didn’t get too much done on Christmas day yesterday as far as writing. I’m still working on editing the contemporary romantic women’s fiction manuscript that I’d set aside at the beginning of 2019. Although the story’s basically good, it needs a lot of work as far as adding depth to the characters. I can see that my writing and my ability to edit/revise has improved in the last 2 years.
I also decided to take another look at the short stories I’m going to publish as a collection. I thought they were pretty perfect were ready to be assembled into the collection. Ha! I’m finding spelling errors, words that I left out and places that could be phrased better. So, I’m not as close to publishing them as I thought.
I also wrote a short romance (800 words) and submitted it to Women’s World Magazine. A short romance I’d submitted them did get published in 2019. Of course, it’s a long shot that this story I submitted today will be selected for publication; they receive approximately 4,000 submissions a month. But I thought I’d take a shot at it.
Well, that’s all on my end.
Hope all of you had a good Christmas and wishing you a Happy New Year.
