Brrr. It’s cold here in Alabama, too. When I checked last night, I saw some flurries come in after the rain. That’s something you don’t see too often down in our area, maybe once or twice a year we get a few snow flakes and maybe a dusting—that’s when all traffic stops down here…:-)
Anyway, I had a scare yesterday. Last week, I upgraded my dropbox account, and for some reason, it saved and synced an older scrivener file of my manuscript. I edit in ProWritingAid, so when I skipped back to a previous, what was supposed to be an edited scene, I noticed place holders in the text. My heart about stopped. Luckily, I had the presence of mind to back up my work on a separate drive before I upgraded and was able to save my work (just lost 2 scenes that I had edited Saturday). I copied the newest version I had of those 2 scenes and re-edited them this morning. Now I’m back on track and also got my scene for today done. Wow. This could’ve been baaaaaaad!
Backup, backup, backup, my friends!!!! Yikes!
