Happy New Year to you and all the participants. Didn’t 2021 go fast despite the disruption COVID and it’s variants have caused?
I have not made any New Year’s resolutions, but right now my writing goal is the same as it’s been – to edit and publish my completed writing. This will keep me busy as I have one historical romantic women’s fiction and two contemporary romantic women’s fiction, three short stories (around 10,000 words each) and three novellas (between 20,000 and 25,000 words each). I intend to publish the short stories and novellas before the novel-length manuscripts.
Oh, and I’ve added another project to my list of writing to do. Nonfiction articles on American history. There are a couple of history magazines that I would like to pitch ideas to. I guess this cold count as a New Year’s resolution. I love history and research and thought I might brand myself as a historical writer. But then, I have the contemporary novels, too. Well, I’ll have to think about branding myself. But I do want to try my hand at some magazine articles.
My goal is still to write at least 2 hours a day and I have been meeting that goal, writing between 2 and 3.5 hours a day. Since I stopped obsessing on creating book covers, that’s become easier to meet.
Well, that’s all for now. Happy New Year everyone.
