Aloha, Cheryl and Dory,
So far, last week, I did keep up with my goal of 2 to 3 hours a day of writing-related activities. Averaged 3 hours a day. I’m coming to the end of my editing, revising, proof reading and spell checking my 3 short historical stories and 3 historical novellas. I’ll be running them through beta readers.
Not sure how much writing I’ll get done this week. I’m struggling with my federal and state tax returns. I do them my self and file them online. I made just enough writing to have to file a schedule c and schedule 1 with my federal return. But this year, as with last year, I din’t make enough to have to file self-employment taxes or figure how much of my social security is taxable. But it’s still a pain in the neck. I don’t feel like paying a tax professional to do my returns because a good CPA charges about $1,000 and I don’t get enough of a refund to cover that. This year, I’ve had to start taking the distribution for my deferred compensation (401 k), when I file for 2022, a portion of my social security could be taxable. Three years ago, I made enough money so that a portion of my social security was taxable and the worksheet to figure that is very confusing. I’m not looking forward to that.
Well, upward and onward.
