As for me, life is busy but good. I work as inhouse coverage counsel for a large insurance company. We’ve been short-staffed for the last few months as a colleague had to take leave due to a medical issue and a few folks accepted the early retirement offer. My colleague is back and we’ve just hired another attorney, so once all are onboard, I hope to relinquish some of my pending to these folks and get back to normal busy. Luckily, I do love my job and my co-workers. 🙂
I’m a parent to three teenagers who are very athletically active. We just finished our 8 month club volleyball season. April was a blur. We had three weekend tournaments which required us to travel. My youngest is in middle school and her school volleyball season is winding down this week with playoffs for district championship. They were undefeated this season and won the first playoff game on Tuesday. We play again tonight. My son took on rowing (or crew) this year. He finished his season with a weekend regatta (on the same weekend as one of the girls’ traveling tournaments – albeit in a completely different city) where is his team placed 3rd in the 4x. We take the summer off of sports so we are looking forward to getting evenings and weekends back for a few months before we start all over again in the fall.
We are headed to California for a big summer trip. We’ll be spending two and a half weeks traveling the state from San Francisco to LA through Yosemite and on to Lake Tahoe. I’m positive we’ll hit some wine country inbetween.
From a writing perspective, I’m working on Delayed – which has been greatly improved due to everyone’s insight. I have another chapter to drop soon. I’ve just been so busy this month that writing has taken a back seat. My story Ambivalence from an anthology is a finalist in the Carolyn Readers’ Choice awards for erotic story. I look forward to the dog-days of summer to get back to more writing.
Congrats on your publications, Ana! Always love your stories.
