Rules and Guidelines

FTHRW will reimburse its members up to $150 for costs related to promoting their work through New Release Promotion Grants.

To apply for a grant, members must email a link to their published book and a PDF of their promotion receipt to FTHRW@FTHRW.com.

Rules and Guidelines

1. Authors must be a current member of FTHRW.
2. The novel must be a new work (i.e. not a revised version of a previously published work) of original romance fiction.
3. The book must be made available for purchase on Amazon or another publicly accessible market in e-book format.
4. Five chapters of the novel must have been sent through the FTHRW critique group OR the member must provide the name of the professional editor that edited the novel prior to press publication or self-publication.
5. The novel must be minimum 50,000 words.
6. The author is encouraged, but not required, to submit blurbs and log lines for the book through FTHRW critique group.
7. Authors may only receive one grant per new release and one grant in two years.
8. Grants will be paid as a reimbursement for actual incurred advertising costs, up to $150. Grantee must provide receipts to receive the payment. Promotion must have run after Sept. 1, 2026.
9. The FTHRW Executive Committee will approve up to 6 grants per calendar year on a first-come, first-served basis.
